Sparkly Mobile: Craft Sticks with Glitter

Sparkly Mobile: Craft Sticks with Glitter

This colorful, sparkly mobile was made from craft sticks and glitter. I found the craft sticks at Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores.  They came in a package of 125 sticks, in six different colors. The mobile was so easy to make.  Read on for instructions.

Procedure:

  • My job was to gather supplies: glue, craft sticks, and glitter.

  • Calvin's job was to squeeze glue onto the craft sticks, which he love-love-loves to do.  Just look at his face.  He is totally absorbed.

  • Calvin decided to stack the sticks one on top of another. I asked him to say the color name as he picked up each stick.

  • I placed the sticks on wax paper so they touched each other. Then I handed Calvin the glitter.  He knew what to do. Glitter is a favorite.

  • A few days later, we turned the sticks over, and Calvin put glue and glitter on the other side.

  • I hung the mobile on my sun porch where the sunshine twinkles on the glitter. Every time I look at it, I smile.
